Visit Whiteville, NC for their annual Pecan Harvest Festival and stop in at the NC Museum of Forestry for Wildlife Encounters! Carolina Raptor Center's birds will be there, as well as reptiles, amphibians and more! You will also get a chance to tour the museums exhibits, such as the "piney woods vault," and the giant prehistoric sloth bones that were collected in Columbus County. Start your discovery of North Carolina's great and diverse forests, and see some of the animals that inhabit them.
Fur, Fangs, and Feathers Fall Festival

Enjoy a fall day at Crowders Mountain State Park, and learn about the creatures with Fur, Fangs and Feathers. Admission is free. Food and concessions will be available. A day full of fun for all ages!
